Our process

Considered from
the very beginning.

A guide to the conversations and decisions that shape a custom home.

Every project has its own starting point. This is a typical path through a custom build; the specific scope, responsibilities, and sequence are agreed for each project.

Discuss your starting point
01

The first conversation

Begin with what matters.

Tell us about the property you own, your ideas, and where you are in the process. Discussing priorities, timing, and an investment range helps establish whether a project is a good fit.

02

Property & possibilities

Understand the starting point.

The site informs the home. Access, orientation, utilities, and known constraints belong in the early discussion, alongside the relevant professional input the project may need.

03

Design & decisions

Bring the brief into focus.

Plans, materials, and selections turn an idea into a defined scope. This is the stage for aligning the home’s character and function with the project’s priorities and investment.

04

Preparing & building

Give the work a clear framework.

Before construction, the project needs an agreed scope, responsibilities, schedule, and required approvals. During the build, decisions and changes need to be communicated clearly.

05

Completion & moving in

Make the transition thoughtfully.

Final review, outstanding items, and the information needed to care for the home belong in the closeout conversation. Project-specific handover arrangements should be established as part of the agreement.
